MAYA CLASSIC
Imagine yourself aboard a boat with the classic look of the 1930s, while enjoying the scenery that surrounds you and enjoying a deep sense of tranquility – this is the Maya concept!
The Maya is a classic, vintage boat that combines simplicity with the highest technology available on the market. The excellent navigability and buoyancy make it the ideal vessel for leisure, in close communion with nature.
With a length of approximately 6 meters, the Classic Maya concept is equipped with a controllable POD electric motorization system, highly reliable and, due to the technology used in its construction, virtually maintenance-free. Designed for activities of up to 6 people, the Maya is the result of a compromise between modern intelligence and old-world craftsmanship, with a hull composed of multiaxial fibers, carbon windshields and varied customization possibilities, combining the leather of the seats hand-stitched or the deck in hardwoods. Everything so that the customer has an object with which he can fully identify and which guarantees efficiency and performance during his leisure time.
In fact, at RIALINE MARINE, it is always a concern of ours to resort to optimizing energy solutions so that we can navigate more and better, rationalizing operating costs, but without compromising performance and the pleasure of contact with the water surface and all. what it implies, from fauna to flora. This vessel was designed to offer its owner the pleasure and happiness of having a different machine, where quality time is the ultimate goal, whether on leisurely outings with the family, or in personalized tourist operations for exclusive and demanding customers.
Durable and stylish, the Maya is a must-have for leisure enthusiasts, inspired by the gentlemen's runabout platforms of the 1930s.
technological feasibility
Latest technology and beautiful vintage design have been fused together, resulting in a boat that is dreamy and exciting to drive.
vacuum infusion
The infusion process, also called VIP (vacuum infusion process) is a production technique that uses a vacuum to impregnate the fibers of a laminate.
The most efficient way to improve the mechanical characteristics of a laminate is through pressure molding. This is directly linked to the variation in the amount of fiber within a laminate. The use of advanced technology such as vacuum infusion and the application of composite materials in its manufacturing process give this vessel physical and mechanical properties of high resistance to both impact and deformation due to the action of the elements.
Usingto an optimized relationship between the amount of resin, the resistance and the weight of the final product in the context of a VIP production, a vessel is obtained that is approximately twice lighter and between three to four times more resistant than that obtained through a conventional polyester resin laminate.
At this point, there is the advantage for the environment of using the vacuum process to reduce potentially polluting emissions. In fact, the problem of styrene emissions in rolling mills is a topical issue for all composite material processors. Current European regulations oblige us to drastically reduce the levels of emissions into the environment, which is why it is urgent to seek solutions to this problem, solutions that find a solid response in the use of manufacturing processes in a limited environment with vacuum lamination.
Propulsion
At RIALINE MARINE, we have developed a vessel propelled by electricity, clean, where efficiency is paramount.energy and the optimization of basic resources.
The engines selected for the vessel, with international approval and state-of-the-art technology, were designed to compete and outperform current combustion engines, producing the same or more energy than higher power engines powered by fossil fuels, as they have an almost negligible loss of power during its operation.
What are the benefits of electrical energy?
-
Quick start.
-
The torque of an electric motor is enormous compared to a combustion engine, which makes it easier and safer to navigate.
-
There are no fumes or vibrations.
-
It's very silent.
-
It does not have oil or constant filter changes, its maintenance is reduced to the minimum of conservation, and can be easily operated by the owner.
-
It is more environmentally friendly.
How far can you go?
The ampere-hours (Ah) registered in the selected battery bank and the operating speed are key factors that determine the range of the boat.
The amount of energy charge in a battery is defined in ampere-hours (Ah) multiplied by the number of batteries you have installed. At RIALINE MARINE we choose to use lithium batteries, which have more than twice the useful energy compared to lead technology batteries, are much lighter and charge faster, withstanding deep discharge cycles (over 80 %) .
Depending on the type of intended operation, the battery banks included in the vessel allow a very significant autonomy, with averages of around 3 hours to 7 hours of operation.
Since range depends on speedand the capacity of the battery bank in ampere/hour (Ah), the energy we need to travel a certain distance (in nautical miles) can vary, increasing in a non-linear way: the higher the speed, the faster the energy is consumed. stored energy.
The solutions currently offered by the market allow you to make the most of your day of pleasure or work, without worrying about how long your batteries will last, charging them when the vessel is out of use, on the pier.
Generator
For those interested in more intensive operation, built-in generators are a highly efficient way to charge batteries and extend range at sea.
Direct current (DC) generators have the advantage of faster charging capability.
Alternating current (AC) generators are usually smaller and even portable, which means that the generator can only be on board in situations where it is necessary to use the engine on longer trips.
The power available for the propulsion engines is limited by the power of the generator which, in parallel, also guarantees a positive charge for domestic batteries (if provided). At RIALINE MARINE we can advise the owner regarding the objectives he has for his vessel, aiming at the best results and optimized performance.
Automated options where the generator automatically turns on when the batteries reach 20% charge and automatically turns off every hour to test the condition of the propulsion battery banks are also available.
With this configuration, an electric motor powered only by batteries drives the propeller shaft, the generator running only in atypical situations, of uninterrupted navigation that exceeds the average hours available for the battery bank selected for the type of intended use.
