VHF OPERATOR

The certificate, or VHF letter, allows coastal or local vessel stations to operate on VHF, and is valid for 5 years.

​

Inclusion criteria for the VHF course:

  • Be 18 years of age or older;

  • Recreational navigator license or professional certificate.

Enrollment in the VHF course:

Pre-registration for the telephone operator letter can be done through our website, in person at our recreational navigation school, or also by telephone or email, only becoming definitive upon payment of the down payment.

The remaining course payment will be settled at the beginning and during the course. The exams are held with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 students, according to the conditions and scheduling of the DGRM (ex-IPTM).

Required documentation:

  • Application form;

  • Copy of identification document;

  • Copy of Tax Identification Number;

  • Copy of previous Letter or Maritime Certificate;

  • A photography.

 

Locations and times:

Training (2 to 3 hours) takes place on any day at 7 pm. The VHF exam takes place on any day and time after confirmation by the DGRM (ex-IPTM), with a minimum of 5 candidates. Training and examination take place at our school.

The VHF course includes:

  • Course training and classes;

  • Examination and charter fees included.

If you want to take the VHF course together with other people you know, contact our navigation school now to present your case. We may book a course for your class and apply a discount to the respective recreational navigator courses.
